  4. DANCING IS A FORM OR METHOD OF WORSHIP.
  5.  
  6. 1.   PRAISE HIM WITH TIMBREL AND DANCE - chorus, or group dance. 
  7.      See Psa. 150:4.
  8.      An extreme form of praise and worship which involves loving
  9.      the Lord with ALL your STRENGTH.
  10.      Note: it says Praise Him with the dance - no mention anywhere
  11.      of dancing in the spirit.  Although there are times when the
  12.      Spirit completely takes over a person and causes them to
  13.      dance.  But this is the exception and not the rule.  We don't
  14.      have to wait for that.

  16. 2.   PRAISE HIS NAME IN THE DANCE.  Psa. 149:3.
  17.      This whole Psalm is for today.  Note v. 6-9 , a prophecy
  18.      concerning this end of the age, having to do with this
  19.      generation--created to praise the Lord.

  21. 3.   FIRST RECORD OF DANCING is after Israel 's deliverance out of
  22.      Egypt. Ex.15:20-21.

  24.      We who have been redeemed and delivered out of the Egypt of
  25.      this world have the same right to rejoice and praise Him with
  26.      the dance.

  28. 4.   DANCED AND SANG WITH JOY AFTER THE DEFEAT OF THE ENEMY.

  31. 5.   DANCING AT THE RETURN OF THE ARK. 2 Sam.6:13-16.
  32.      Speaks of the presence and glory of God. This is the hour of
  33.      the restoration of all things which His presence brings.  It
  34.      is in order to dance.  Many Michal's despising the dance as
  35.      in v.27 will be struck barren of joy and life.

  37. 6.   A TIME TO DANCE Eccl. 3:1.

  39. 7.   LOSS OF JOY AND THE DANCE BECAUSE OF BONDAGE, Lam. 5:14-15.
  40.      Joel 1:10-12 speaks of barrenness, dryness and bondage because
  41.      Joy had withered away.

  43. 8.   A PROPHECY OF THE RETURN RESTORATION OF THE DANCE. 
  44.      Jer.31:14-15.
  45.      "Again will I build thee....and thou shalt go forth in the
  46.      dances." A restoration of this form of praise prophesied. 
  47.      V.13 - no age limit, the old will have their strength
  48.      renewed.

  50. 9.   TURNED OUR MOURNING INTO DANCING (chorus).  Psa. 30:11.

  52. 10.  BRIDES CHOSEN FROM AMONG THE DANCERS AT THE YEARLY FEAST. 
  53.      Jud. 21:21. When choosing a partner in life, make sure they
  54.      are one with you in the liberty of the Spirit and are keeping
  55.      the Feasts of the Lord.

  57. 11.  SINGING GROUP OF DANCERS, company of 2 armies.  Song of
  58.      Sol. 6:13. The word 'company' means - Singing group of 
  59.      Dancers.

  62. NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES

  64. 12.  LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH or might.  Luke 10:27.
  65.      Dancing involves our strength.
  66.  
  67. 13.  PAUL'S WAY OF WORSHIP WAS CALLED HERESY.  Acts 24:14.
  68.      It was called emotional, `fanatical' because he worshipped
  69.      according to the law and prophets (The Word).  David the
  70.      prophet taught to praise with a loud noise, with the dance.
  71.      etc.

  73. 14.  RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS spoken of by the prophets before
  74.      the return of Jesus.  Acts 3:19-21.
  75.      All methods of praise including the dance to be restored,
  76.      Jer. 31:4.

  78. 15.  PRODIGAL SON RESTORED - GREAT JOY AND DANCING, Luke 15:25.
  79.      God is restoring to His church the things it has lost (gifts,
  80.      fellowship etc.,) - is it not in order to be joyful?

  82. 16.  TEACHING AND ADMONISHING IN PSALMS.  Col. 3:16.
  83.      Teach people the methods of praise laid down in the Book of
  84.      Psalms which is for us today.  Admonish them to dance.

  87.      The word "GLADNESS" and "JOYFUL" in the following verses mean
  88.      TO LEAP OFTEN, VIOLENT LEAPING, TWIST, TO SPRING ABOUT.

  90. 17,  Heb.1:9 - anointed thee (Jesus) with the oil of "GLADNESS".

  92. 18.  Matt.5:12. - be exceedingly "GLAD"  when persecuted - no
  93.      positive feelings around.

  95. 19,  Luke 1:14. - And thou (Elizabeth) shalt have joy and
  96.      "GLADNESS".  Birth of John (laughter).

  98. 20,  Acts 2:46 - ate meat with "GLADNESS".  Followed the infilling
  99.      of the Spirit.

  101. 21,  Jude 24 - Present you faultless with exceeding "JOY".

  103. 22.  Hab.3:18 - I will "JOY" in the God of my salvation.

  105. 23.  Zeph.3:17 - The Lord HE WILL "JOY" over thee.

  107. 24.   Psa.2:11 - "REJOICE"  with trembling.
  108.           9:14 -  will rejoice in thy salvation.
  109.           118:24. - this is the day the Lord hath made, we will
  110.                     rejoice and be glad in It. 
  111.      Isa.41:16; 65:18-19; Zeh.9:9; 10:7; Psa.149:2... be joyful.

  115. 25.  Song of Sol. 2:8 - He (Jesus) cometh leaping upon the
  116.      Mountain (a picture of our Bridegroom leaping upon the
  117.      mountains of difficulty, opposition etc.). Jesus said 
  118.      "Follow Me".

  120. 26.  Psa. 18:29 - By my God have I leaped over a wall.
